Our Mission

At GetIn, our mission is to help students clearly and confidently express who they are—on paper and beyond. We believe every student has a story worth telling, and we’re here to guide them in shaping those stories into powerful, authentic applications. By combining thoughtful strategy with personalized support, we help students convey their ideas, stand out in the admissions process, and take the next step toward their dreams. We’re committed to helping all students—no matter their background, academic profile, or college goals—navigate the application process with clarity and confidence. Whether you're aiming for the Ivy League, a state school, or a program that fits your unique interests, we meet students where they are and provide the tools, insight, and encouragement to move forward. As an LGBTQ-owned business, we’re proud to create an inclusive, affirming space for students from all walks of life. We especially value supporting those from historically underrepresented backgrounds and believe college access should never be limited by identity, income, or circumstance. Our goal is to elevate each student’s voice and help them pursue opportunities that reflect both their potential and their passions.

Meet the Lead Counselor

Broc Vargo, founder of GetIn and a UC Berkeley graduate. With years of experience helping students improve their writing skills and tutoring STEM subjects, Broc has worked closely with high schoolers to strengthen both their academic performance and communication abilities. He later shifted into college counseling after recognizing how many students struggled to tell their stories effectively in the admissions process.

Broc brings firsthand insight into what makes an application stand out. His counseling approach is thoughtful, strategic, and results-driven—focused on helping each student craft compelling, authentic applications that reflect who they are.
